Description
Wild Strawberry (Fragaria virginiana) is an excellent ground cover that spreads by runners. You can pinch off runners from the parent plant to create new plants and move them around. They have tasty little strawberries that are produced in early summer. They say you can also harvest their leaves to make a refreshing tea. Fast-growing, easy-care maintenance spreader that fills in bare spots nicely. Drought-tolerant. Prefers part shade to full sun and alkaline soil. Full sun planting will yield sweeter berries.
In 3″ pots – if you are looking for a larger amount, we can sell them bare root for a better price – please reach out to us by email with notice for picking up.
