Gardens Plus No-Risk Guarantee

Order with complete confidence and worry-free. We guarantee to provide you with strong healthy, vigorous, plant material – true to name and in good growing condition.  We are gardeners too and only ship plants we would purchase ourselves.   If you are not pleasantly surprised by your purchase, please email us or call and we will do our utmost to make it right when received.  We can not be responsible for plants not being cared for properly after planting, extreme weather, plants planted in wrong lighting conditions or zones.   Planting in the heat, not watering in heatwaves and no unboxing them immediately as well as leaving them at the Post Office/locker.

Hosta virus HVX
We only purchase plants from those growers that test Hosta for HVX and strive for 100% infection-free Hosta.  If we suspect any plants we test on-site.  No issues to date. 


If any plant you have you ordered is unavailable or doesn’t meet our quality standards, we may substitute a similar plant of the same or greater value.   So to help us if this happens it is always nice to have a few substitutions listed or say ‘YES’ to substitutions in the comment box when you check out.   If not we may reach out in an email or just provide a refund on this plant shorted.    Our inventory is kept in check but in some cases the growers we are purchasing from short us.  It doesn’t happen very often. 

Gift Certificates
If you have a certificate please feel free to place your order and when checking out choose pay at pick up.  We will contact you to complete your order for shipping or pick up.  Want to purchase one we are just an email away.  

Setting up an account for the first time;
Go to SHOP – then MY ACCOUNT and pick register.  Just fill in your email address and any password you choose.   May as well fill in your billing address at the same time.  Our system keeps this information with the billing/shipping address required at check out so when you return to place an order it is there and even easier the next time.  Please make sure you have the exact address because this is where the plants will be shipped and tax charged accordingly.  Please note our system does not keep your credit card information when paying with  Paypal.  Once you are transferred to their site it is all secure on their end and safe.   Yes, all Canadian dollars.  

Payment options;
When you check out you will be given a few options to choose from including;
Send an interac online transfer;  you send us your payment through your online banking (email transfer).  Please use the answer I must know to the secret question as your order # or email us the alternative answer.
Connect to Pay pal;  you can pay by credit card (takes you to their secure site).  You do not have to have an account with them for this option.
Pay at pick up for Local Pickups
We do not have all perennials on the website potted at all times.  So, if you are local or planning a visit you can also pre-order to make certain your wish list is ready and available using the check-out feature.  Just choose the option to pay at pick up.   We prefer Thursday-Saturday if possible.  Also, include the tent pick up date in order comments so we can have it ready for you.   Or just drop by during business hours and pick out your plants from those already in pots. 

Plant Availability:  If part of your order isn’t ready we will hold your order until all can be shipped together and advise you.   Note:  We do not start shipping Coneflowers and Hosta depending on the spring climate until mid- May.  They need the soil to be warm at your end and nights free of frost.  When setting up your shipping date we will note the information you include in your order comments. 

Our order Cancellation Policy:
Gardens Plus is dedicated to providing exemplary plants and customer service to all of our customers. We pride ourselves on our ability to quickly and accurately process all orders. If you have any questions regarding your purchase, we will do everything we can to address your concerns. If you wish to cancel your order prior to shipping, please contact us as soon as possible.
If an order is cancelled up to 3 weeks BEFORE the tentative shipping date already set, customers will normally be charged a 10% cancellation fee before a credit can be issued.  This fee is to recoup labour expenses and irreversible fees we incur.

Back Orders: We are unable to do backorders.  Feel free to send us an email to inquire if we have a date to restock.  Often this would be following season.


We ship using Canada Post with Expedited/Express Post.  Tracking information also sent to you later in the day when shipped from here.  All sent on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesday so that you will have your package by the weekend.  We find best results to start shipping from here once they have started to grow in the later spring.   We are zone 5b so this is usually mid-May most seasons.  If your order contains Cone flowers could be as late as late May – early June.  We only accept orders usually until the week prior to opening here retail.  Then just plan a visit. 

We also ship orders out in the order we receive them (also considering what zone you live in, plants you ordered are ready and any dates you indicate if later than scheduled).   We start taking orders in Jan 1st each year and those earlier ones shipped out first.  If you are planning on being away in May or early June please let us know in your order comments.   If you are not home during the day – We suggest give an address where there is someone to accept your order securely.  We can not be responsible for a theft.  Please leave a note on your door if there is a cooler/secure spot to leave the box.  example ‘please leave box beside the garage’.  
We truly care about the plants and your gardens and ship when you can plant them directly into the warm soil.  Due to mother nature and the weather changing we can delay your order if you ask.   Just give us a week or so notice as a lot of work goes into preparing your order prior. 

Privacy Policy

All information we receive from our customers will stay private and confidential.  Your credit card information is not part of our site it is with PayPal.   We never share email or any other info provided.  That’s a promise!
