Gardens Plus No-Risk Guarantee

Order with complete confidence and worry-free. We guarantee to provide you with strong healthy, vigorous, plant material – true to name and in good growing condition.  We are gardeners too and only ship plants we would purchase ourselves.   If you are not pleasantly surprised by your purchase, please email us or call and we will do our utmost to make it right when received.  We can not be responsible for plants not being cared for properly after planting, extreme weather, plants planted in wrong lighting conditions or zones.   Planting in the heat, not watering in heatwaves and no unboxing them immediately as well as leaving them at the Post Office/locker.

Hosta virus HVX
We only purchase plants from those growers that test Hosta for HVX and strive for 100% infection-free Hosta.  If we suspect any plants we test on-site.  No issues to date. 

Substitutions

If any plant you have you ordered is not available or doesn’t meet our quality standards, we may substitute a similar plant of the same or greater value.   So to help us if this happens it is always nice to have a few substitutions listed or say ‘YES’ to substitutions in the comment box when you check out.   If not we may reach out in an email or just provide a refund on this plant shorted.    Our inventory is kept in check but in some cases the growers we are purchasing from short us.  It doesn’t happen very often. 

Gift Certificates
If you have a certificate please feel free to place your order and when checking out choose pay at pick up.  We will contact you to complete your order for shipping or pickup.  Want to purchase one we are just an email away.  

Setting up an account for the first time;
Go to SHOP – then MY ACCOUNT and pick register.  Just fill in your email address and any password you choose.   May as well fill in your billing address at the same time.  Our system keeps this information with the billing/shipping address required at check out so when you return to place an order it is there and even easier the next time.  Please make sure you have the exact address because this is where the plants will be shipped and tax charged accordingly.  Please note our system does not keep your credit card information when paying with  Paypal.  Once you are transferred to their site it is all secure on their end and safe.   Yes, all Canadian dollars.  

Payment options;
When you check out you will be given a few options to choose from including;
Send an interac online transfer;  you send us your payment through your online banking (email transfer).  Please use the email address that the order confirmation comes from as no secret question required. 
Connect to Pay pal;  you can pay by credit card (takes you to their secure site).  You do not have to have an account with them for this option.
Pay at pickup for Pickups
We do not have all perennials on the website potted at all times.  So, if you are local or planning a visit you can also pre-order to make certain your wish list is ready and available using the check-out feature.  Just choose the option to pay at pickup.   *keep current on Q & A Page for changes with possible Covid-19 if 0-contact only option then prepayment required prior to picking up.

Plant Availability:  If part of your order isn’t ready we will hold your order until all can be shipped together and advise you.   Note:  We do not start shipping Coneflowers and Hosta depending on the spring climate until mid- May.  They need the soil to be warm at your end and nights free of frost.  When setting up your shipping date we will note the information you include in your order comments. 

Our order Cancellation Policy:
Gardens Plus is dedicated to providing exemplary plants and customer service to all of our customers. We pride ourselves on our ability to quickly and accurately process all orders. If you have any questions regarding your purchase, we will do everything we can to address your concerns. If you wish to cancel your order prior to shipping, please contact us as soon as possible.
If any order is cancelled and the tentative shipping/pickup date already set, customers will normally be charged a 10% cancellation fee before a credit can be issued.  This fee is to recoup labour expenses and irreversible fees we incur.

Back Orders: We are unable to do backorders.  Feel free to send us an email to inquire if we have a date to restock.  Often this would be following season.

Shipping/Handling

We ship using Canada Post with Express Post. 

When do you ship? We ship orders on Mondays/Tuesdays so that you will have your package by the weekend at the latest.  We have found that waiting to ship in later spring has had the best results.  We are zone 5b so this is usually early-mid May most seasons. So orders have to be received by early May at the latest.  At that point the only option will be to order to pickup or plan a visit to pick from pre-potted stock during nursery hours. 

We choose your shipping date for you based on your ordered plant selection (when they are ready), your zone (safe for planting), date you ordered and if any information you have shared in comments requesting a later week than we have scheduled.  

2021 shipping schedule; 
Orders placed Jan to March would secure one of these weeks below. *unless you have asked for a later shipping date in comments. 
Zone 6 and higher (Niagara area) week of May 3rd
Postal codes that start with M week of May 10th
Postal codes that start with K and L week of May 17th
*All orders that contain any Coneflowers we ship all these orders week of May 24th and 31s as well as orders placed April/early May once the previous dates filled.  June 7th – last shipping week for 2021.  

Privacy Policy

All information we receive from our customers will stay private and confidential.  Your credit card information is not part of our site it is with PayPal.   We never share email or any other info provided.  That’s a promise!
