New for us to offer. ‘Bridegroom’ has very shiny green leaves that fold downward at the midrib from the middle of the leaf to the tip, while the base of the leaf is cordate. This forces the tip of the leaf to grow straight up and curl. The margins are also rippled so the clump always looks like it is dancing in the breeze.
I think this Hosta would look great in a container with annuals to show off the shiny leaves and intense twisting. I always enjoy the flower buds before they open as they are white at the base and dark purple at the tip. This Hosta makes a great stand-alone focal point due to its distinct growth habit. Lavender flowers appear in July.
