Each variety has strong stems holding brightly colored blooms to create a full looking plant. Lance-shaped dark blue-green foliage looks good all season long. Native to rocky hillsides in the southwestern United States, these plants thrive in areas with full sun and good drainage.  Medium pink tubular flowers appear in late spring and early summer.  Like all of our Penstemons, this one takes the heat and humidity in stride but is also very cold-hardy.
