Penstemon Blackbeard

Named for the famous black-bearded pirate, this perennial has incredible dark eggplant purple foliage.  Dark purple stems hold its lilac purple flowers with white flaring tubes.  Stays upright all season long.   Drought resistant/drought tolerant plant (xeric).   Zone 4
