Another unique Canadian selection of Ligularia or Elephant Ears, this is a bold-leaved specimen perennial. It forms a midsized mound of large, jagged-edged leaves that emerge deep black-purple, ageing to bronze shades and eventually to olive green. Taller stems appear in midsummer, bearing golden-yellow daisy flowers. Superb for the middle of the border, in containers or at the waterside. Both the flowers and leaves are great for cutting. Our display plant gets a lot of attention and our stock sells out every year! Zone 4
