Some grown for there foliage, flower scent and then there is this one. Found near Mt Fuji, Japan. Bright green leaves 9″x 6″, ovate shaped with a long thin tip, wavy margin, smooth, deeply veined.
Light purple DOUBLE hose in hose type flowers in late July.
